Despite their success, the company faced a growing challenge in understanding and developing the skill sets of their consultants. As the business expanded, it became clear that their current approach to talent development wasn’t keeping pace with their growth. They lacked a clear view of the specific skills their consultants needed to stay ahead in a competitive market, making it difficult to align their workforce capabilities with the company’s strategic goals.
Without a solid understanding of the skills required, the company’s training became scattered, leaving teams unprepared for the challenges ahead. Additionally, with their internal resources already spread thin, they realized they didn’t have the right expertise in-house to identify and fill these gaps. Paving the way to success
To address these challenges, Amaris Consulting launched a thorough skill assessment project. We began by getting to know the consultants, analyzing their job roles, and reviewing their current skill profiles. With this understanding, we built a detailed repository that outlined the tasks, responsibilities, and essential skills for each role, which became the foundation of our assessment.
We then conducted in-depth interviews with around 70 of our consultants to evaluate their current skills, potential for growth, and gather their input on global work practices and tools. From this data, we developed actionable insights, identifying skill gaps, recommended certifications, and offering guidance on both individual and team development needs.
Finally, we presented a strategic plan to the client, detailing the required training, timelines, key topics, and recommended trainers within their team, providing them with a clear roadmap to enhance their workforce capabilities.
